Child Ministry (Grade K3-5)
The preschool program starts at age 3 for the children of St. Agnes Parish. Through stories, music, prayers, crafts and other experiences, the children learn what it means to be special members of God’s family.
The Christian Formation program for grades K4-5 offers formal classes in religion that focus on the child’s faith development with emphasis on Catholic Tradition, sacramental preparation and scripture. The Child Ministry program meets weekly beginning in September. Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) is offered to children ages 4 through Grade 4, during the 10:30 AM Mass from September through May. Sacramental Programs for First Reconciliation and First Communion are celebrated in Grade 2. Because there is so much material to learn and study, student preparation starts in Grade 1. All children in Grade 1 must participate in the program in order to receive the Sacraments in Grade 2. For older students who have not celebrated these Sacraments call the Christian Formation office and we will set up a formation schedule for your child.
