Scouting
Many scouting programs are established at St. Agnes, sponsored by the Home and School Association and staffed by volunteer parents and friends.
The programs offer challenges and opportunities to interested young people. Tiger, Cub and Boy Scouts are part of the Potawatomi Area Council. Brownie, Girl and Cadet Scouts are part of the Blue Heron Council.
Scouting promotes and develops leadership qualities by instilling moral values and teaching responsibilities to God, country, family and self. Weekly meetings are held for activities, projects and skill-teaching sessions.
Weekend outdoor programs allow scouts to apply the skills they learn at meetings. Scouts participate in hiking, camping, adventure trips and other outdoor activities. As they learn skills, they advance through the scouting ranks.
Interested young people from second grade and up, along with their families, are encouraged to become involved in these worthwhile groups.
