Rebate (Scrip) Program

Parishioners who participate in the rebate program help offset the costs of providing a quality Catholic education to the students of St. Agnes School or Christian Formation families. School or Christian Formation families can earn credit toward their children's tuition through this program. For more information, contact the parish office.

Scrip is a method of purchasing "certificates" for groceries, retail stores, restaurants and gas stations that can be used for purchases at these establishments. St. Agnes purchases the certificates at a discount and sells them at face value. For school and Christian Formation families, the profit is applied to tuition for the following year. For others, the profit is realized as income to the parish.

Order forms are available at entrances to the building. Place your order after an Mass, or any time during the week before Monday at 9:00 a.m., and your order will be available for pick up the following weekend after the 5:00 p.m. Mass or between the Sunday morning Masses. It costs nothing to participate and the profits that St. Agnes earns are used for the support of the many vital ministries that we have at St. Agnes.

Over the course of a year, we have realized over $2,600 in income to the parish from the purchases of those parishioners without children in the school or Christian Formation programs. What a blessing! We thank all of you who are participating.

For those of you who are not participating in this program, please consider doing so. Here's an example of how you can help your parish:

• If you purchase $100 per week on Scrip certificates for groceries, gas, etc., and the average discount is 3%, St. Agnes would realize income of $3 per week or $156 per year from your purchases.
• If 100 parishioners did this, St. Agnes would have an additional $15,600 per year for our ministries.
• If 300 parishioners did this, St. Agnes would have an additional $46,800 per year for our ministries.
